Largest Shopping Bag
The largest shopping bag measures 94.48m long and 39.92m wide, and was achievedin Uttar Pradesh, India, on 22 October 2018.
The bag was made of cotton and aimed to raise awareness, encourage people to use more environmentally friendly products, and to move away from plastic bags.
Largest Paper Bag
The largest paper shopping bag is 22.5m long, 15.4m wide and 3.36m deep. It was achieved by a paper bag retailer on 23 September 2015.
The bag was an accurate scale replica of a normal-sized paper bag, complete with twine handles.
Largest Jute Bag
The largest jute bag is 22.5m long, 14.6m wide and 3.5m deep. It was achieved on International Plastic Bag Free Day on 3rd July 2019 and was a replica of the landscape jute bags that the company Cotton Bag Co produce.
This record breaking bag can fit 9 double decker busses in it and over 208,000 footballs!
